It's not the most elegant-looking machine, but it's considerably more svelte than its predecessors. This version of the robot includes a light sensor in the "face" region that syncs up with a row of LEDs below the bar. This allows the robot to time its release much more accurately — down to 0.002 seconds, according to the video.
